About

Gareth was educated at Nottingham High School and then studied at the University of Durham gaining a BA in Education in 1996. His teaching career started in inner London, moving on to Surrey and Hampshire, where he prepared many children for the Sutton and Kingston grammar school exams with impressive success rates.

In 2010 Gareth’s career took him overseas, taking on Headship positions in leading British schools in Greece, Belgium and Tunisia, gaining his Headship qualification at this time. During his time as a Head, Gareth placed great emphasis on raising academic achievement whilst promoting a broad education inclusive of the sports and arts. His two keywords in schools, for which many children remember him, were kindness and excellence. He is fully aware of all stages of education, especially the transition between primary/prep and secondary at 11 or 13+.

Gareth has close experience with working with leading schools as a headteacher as many of his pupils overseas transferred to prestigious institutions both in the UK and internationally and developing close links with admissions departments. As an experienced teacher and tutor, Gareth knows the range of schools available, especially in London and is able to advise parents on the best options for their child.

Gareth qualified as a school inspector in 2010 and now works for several inspection agencies both in the UK and overseas. He is a member of IAPS and was their adviser for English for three years and now mentors newly appointed heads. He is also a trained coach and uses this method to assist parents in selecting the best school for their child. He is a governor at two local primary schools further sharing his expertise. Gareth is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and the Royal Society of Arts.

This extensive expertise allows Gareth to work with schools, parents and children to support them in creating change. Gareth’s work helps children achieve the level they are aiming for, giving them their own foundation for the future. Gareth’s methods utilise new research in child education while keeping learning fun and engaging.

Gareth understands that all the people he works with have different goals, different academic abilities and different needs. No matter what, Gareth is results driven and passionate about helping you achieve your ambitions, so you’ll start to see results quickly.
